Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada (CCCN) is the award-winning multidisciplinary oncology group comprising medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, breast surgery, and 10 treatment centers and offices throughout Southern Nevada. The practice’s specialized physician and nursing staff offers sophisticated diagnostic tools, the latest advances in cancer treatment, a full range of innovative, exclusive services and research-based care in a supportive and caring environment.
CCCN has been providing care to Southern Nevada residents and out of state visitors for more than 35 years. Through its affiliations with UCLA’s Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center and The US Oncology Network, CCCN has developed one of the largest Phase I clinical research programs in Nevada, with extensive research programs for breast cancer, gastrointestinal malignancies, genitourinary malignancies and skin cancer. CCCN conducts more than 170 Phase I, Phase II and Phase III clinical research trials each year, and has helped develop 49 FDA approved cancer therapies.
Additionally, CCCN is the only oncology practice in Southern Nevada to offer CyberKnife® Radiosurgery, a computer-operated robotics and image guidance technology used to treat hard-to-reach tumors. Its sub-millimeter accuracy eliminates damage to healthy tissue surrounding the tumor site. CyberKnife® offers patients with a painless, non-invasive treatment alternative that requires no anesthesia and offers shorter recovery times. CyberKnife® Radiosurgery is operated by CCCN’s specially trained radiation oncologist, the most experienced radiosurgical team in Southern Nevada
The practice has earned a three-year accreditation by the American College of Radiology, making it the only practice in Southern Nevada to receive the accreditation for five consecutive three-year terms. In 2011, CCCN earned the Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI) certification, which demonstrates a commitment to excellence and ongoing quality improvement in the hematology-oncology outpatient practice. CCCN is the only oncology group in Nevada to be given the QOPI certification through the American Society of Clinical Oncology. CCCN also earned the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s 2009 Clinical Trials Participation Award, making CCCN one of only two medical practices in Nevada to receive the recognition in the past seven years.
