Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Services (CAMTS) Site Survey
Life Guard International – Flying ICU Air Ambulance Invites Participation in Upcoming CAMTS Site Survey: June 29 – 30, 2015.
Life Guard International – FlyingICU will undergo a Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Services (CAMTS) site survey on June 29 -30, 2015. The purpose of the site survey visit will be to reevaluate LGII’s compliance with nationally established medical transport standards. The standards relate to issues of patient care and safety of the transport environment. The site survey visit results will be used to determine the conditions under which reaccreditation should be awarded to the program.
Life Guard International – Flying ICU extends an invitation to referral and receiving healthcare providers, patients and their families, patient advocates and advocacy groups, members of the communities we serve, and employees of Life Guard International – Flying ICU to participate in a public information interview during the site visit.
Achieving CAMTS accreditation involves a voluntary evaluation of compliance with Accreditation Standards by an independent body. Accreditation Standards are the criteria used to measure a program’s level of quality. Members of 12 national medical and aviation associations whose highest priorities are patient care and safety in the transport environment direct the CAMTS Standards.
Individuals interested in participating in a public information interview may submit their requests and the nature of the information in writing to the CAMTS Board no later than five days before the scheduled site survey visit. Information presented at the public information interview will be carefully evaluated for relevance to the accreditation process.
